第六屆【香港學界音樂大獎賽2024】將以錄像項目形式進行，我們並破天荒與Cixi Music Studio and HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MUSIC COMPETITION 合作，凡於「香港學界音樂大獎賽」鋼琴及小提琴項目中，獲得81分或以上，可獲HOUSTON INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MUSIC COMPETITION 國際組別比賽參賽資格，與外地參賽者一較高下，並可獲國際級評判評審指教。
The 6th Hong Kong Schools Music Awards 2024 will be conducted in the form of online video basis. This year, we are honorable to announce that we are partnering with Cixi Music Studio and the Houston International Youth Music Competition to extend the competition into an international scope. Participants in the piano and violin categories of the Hong Kong Schools Music Awards who score 81 or above will be qualified to compete in the international category of the Houston International Youth Music Competition. This provides an opportunity for the local candidates to share their experiences and expertise with participants from other countries and receive feedback from international music expertises.

國際組別比賽優勝者將被邀請出席2025年暑假，於美國德州候斯頓舉行之優勝者音樂會，與一眾國際賽優勝者現場演繹得獎作品。
Winners of the international category competition will be invited to attend the Winners' Concert held in Houston, US, in the summer of 2025, where they will perform their winning pieces alongside other international competition winners.

比賽項目中，各組別均設有冠亞季軍各一位(各獲頒發獎盃、分紙及證書)，另設金銀銅獎多名 (各獲頒發獎牌、分紙及證書)。
另為了表揚一眾老師和音樂機構在培育本地音樂人材之努力，大會特設作育英才獎--頒發給推薦6位或以上的老師或機構；及傑出教育獎--頒發給有3位或以上學生獲冠亞軍獎項的老師或機構。
In the competition, besides championship, first and second runner-up will be awarded to each categories (each winners will receive a trophy, marking sheet, and certificate of the competition), there will be multiple prizes of gold, silver, and bronze to be awarded to candidates who reach the benchmark of each categories (each receiving a medal, score sheet, and certificate).
We highly value the effort and support from all teachers behind. To recognize the efforts of teachers and music institutions in nurturing musical talents, we have established the "Excellence in Talent Development Award" for teachers or institutions for recommendation of six or more participants into the competitions, and the "Outstanding Educator Award" for teachers or institutions with three or more students winning first, second, or third place.

錄像比賽報名須知︰
1. 參加錄影比賽之參賽者，需要提交未經剪接之演出錄影片段作比賽之用。
2. 比賽以錄像/視頻形式，每名參賽者可參加多個樂器比賽項目，唯每個項目只可以提交一個比賽曲目表演錄影。參賽者可以選擇以同一曲目或不同曲目，參加不同項目的比賽。
3. 如參加ABRSM分級考試組別比賽，曲目必須曾經為皇家音樂學院分級考試之曲目。
4. 請把錄影片段上載至個人YouTube帳戶，並將錄影檔案設定為「不公開" Unlisted”」，並將連結電郵至hksmac2024@gmail.com
5. 建議使用720p像素（過大超出上傳限制，過小影像效果亦不理想）拍攝錄影片段。請注意，錄影場地、音響、燈光，樂器音色，調音狀態有可能影響分數。

7. 報名時請隨電郵附上︰
1) 報名費入數證明,
2) 參賽者有相之身份證明如學生證或手冊(有相一頁), 及
3) 演奏曲目之樂譜副本一份
8. 比賽錄影需一鏡到底，不可剪接，不可進行任何後期製作，及不可加入任何特效。
9. 請盡量安排在安靜的環境下拍攝，並要清楚拍攝參賽者由正面站立、鞠躬、演出、完成後鞠躬整個過程。
10. 鋼琴項目應盡量在畫面展示整個鍵盤和腳踏的使用，其他樂器科目亦需就聲音效果保持良好的演奏拍攝距離；而由於樂器伴奏不影響評分，參賽者可自行決定是否把伴奏攝入鏡頭。
11. 雖然樂器伴奏不影響評分，但對於弦樂及管樂的項目，如果作品本身是有伴奏部份，大會仍建議 (但非必須) 參賽者安排聯同伴奏演出。唯伴奏形式不限，參賽者可自行選擇以現場樂器伴奏，或以播放錄音形式伴奏。如以播放錄音形式伴奏，請注意伴奏聲量不可影響參賽者之演出。
12. 本會保留所有比賽錄像之版權，並有權發佈該比賽錄像作為評審、或宣傳等用途。
在比賽結果公佈前，所有參賽視頻片段均不可公開發佈，包括但不限於任何公開的社交平台。
13. 所有參賽者必須接受本會評審之結果為最後裁決。
14. 參賽者在報名表格內所提供的資料必須屬完整及屬實，違規者可被取消資格。如在截止報名後要修改報名表上之資料，需填寫「香港學界音樂大獎賽2024_比賽資料更改申請表」的google form，並繳付行政費用$60。如未有填寫比賽資料更改申請表或並未繳付行申請更改行政費，本會有權拒絕作出修改。
15. 除大會主動取消比賽外，一切已繳付之報名費用，不論參賽者以任何原因，一律不獲退還。
16. 所有錄影比賽之獎項將會以「速遞到付」形式發送給各參賽者。
17. 凡參加本會之活動，將自動成為本會會員，本會有權使用其報名電郵以作日後活動宣傳及提供比賽資訊之用。
18. 本會有權修改已公佈之比賽規則及章程，其內容如有更改，一律以本會Facebook 專頁之公佈為準。
Rules and regulations of the competition:
1. The competition is conducted in an online video basis and only an unedited performance video recordings is qualified for competition purpose.
2. Each participant can enter multiple instruments and/or categories, but only one performance video can be submitted under each category. Participants may choose to perform the same piece or different pieces for different categories.
3. For those entering the ABRSM graded exam categories, the chosen piece must be from the current or past ABRSM exam syllabus.
4. Please upload the performance video to your personal YouTube account, set the video to "Unlisted," and email the link to hksmac2024@gmail.com.
5. It is recommended to record the video in 720p resolution (video with too high resolution may exceed upload limits, too low may result in poor image quality). Please note that the recording venue, sound, lighting, instrument timbre, and tuning may impact on the quality of the video.
6. The submission email is recommended in the following format:

( Example: Video Competition_Li Ching_Piano Solo_ABRSM Grade 3 )

7. Please attach the following in your email:
1. Proof of registration fee payment
2.Participant’s photo ID such as student ID or handbook (photo page)
3. A copy of the sheet music for the performance piece
8. The competition video must be recorded in one continuous take, without any editing, post-production, or special effects.
9. Please try to record in a quiet environment, and make sure tocapture the participant standing and bowing before and after the performance clearly, and the entire performance process from the front.
10. In making video recording for piano category competition, the entire keyboard and pedal usage should be displayed as much as possible. For other instruments, a recording distance that ensures optimal sound quality should be maintained. Since accompaniment does not affect the scoring, participants may choose whether to include the accompanist in the video.
11. Although accompaniment does not affect the scoring, for string and wind instrument categories, if the piece includes the part of accompaniment, it is recommended (but not required) participants to arrange for an accompaniment along with the performance. The form of accompaniment is not limited to live performance. Participants may choose to have live instrumental accompaniment or use a recorded accompaniment. If using a recorded accompaniment, please ensure that the volume of the accompaniment does not overshadow the participant's performance.
12. We reserves all rights to the competition recordings and have the right to publish them for judging or promotional purposes. Until the competition results are announced, all competition video clips must not be publicly shared, including but not limited to any public social media platforms.
13. All participants must accept the judgements ad results made by the adjudicators of the competition as final and conclusive.
14. The information provided by participants in the google form must be complete and accurate. Violators may be disqualified. If modifications on any submitted information is required after the deadline, participants must fill out the "Hong Kong Schools Music Awards 2024_Competition Information Change Application Form" Google Form and pay an administrative fee of HK$60 to apply for the change. Failure to complete the information change application form or pay the administrative fee may result in the refusal of alternations.
15. Except in case we cancel our competition, all registration fees paid are non-refundable, regardless of the reasons provided by participants.
16. All awards for the competition will be forward to participants via payment by recipient on delivery. (all delivery charges are responsible by the candidates)
17. All candidates enrolled in the competition will automatically become members of the organization. We have the right to use their email for future promotions purposes. Please email to us under separate cover if you refuse to receive any materials in future.
18. We reserves the right to modify any competition rules and regulations from time to time when necessary. Any changes or updates in the rules and regulations will be notified in the Facebook Page of Mozart Youth Orchestra.

國際組別比賽報名須知
1. 國際組別比賽比賽以錄像/視頻形式，每位獲晉級資格的優異參賽者將獲個別電郵通知。
2. 獲晉級資格的參賽者，需於電郵通知上指定之截止日期前確認報名參與國際組別比賽，並於指定之截止日期前上載國際組別比賽之參賽視頻至指定電郵地址。
3. 國際組別比賽之參賽視頻可以是相同或不同於香港區選拔賽的比賽視頻，但無論是否同一曲目，參賽者均需重新上載比賽視頻國際組別比賽。
4. 國際組別比賽視頻格式要求與香港區選拔賽的比賽視頻相同， 均建議使用720p像素拍攝，同樣需要一鏡到底，不可剪接，不可進行任何後期製作，及不可加入任何特效。並請盡量安排在安靜的環境下拍攝，要清楚拍攝參賽者由正面站立、鞠躬、演出、完成後鞠躬整個過程。詳情請參考「錄像比賽報名須知」第8-12項。
5. 報名時請隨電郵附上 國際組比賽報名費入數證明。國際組別比賽不論樂器、組別、年齡、級別，報名費一律為US80。
6. 上載國際組別比賽之參賽視頻時請隨電郵附上演奏曲目之樂譜副本一份。
7. 各國際組比賽參賽者及冠亞季軍基本只獲發分紙及獎狀，不設獎盃。如要求大會頒發刻名獎盃，將另作收費，及另計發送運費。
8. 各國際組比賽的冠亞季軍，將獲邀出席2025年暑期於美國德州候斯頓舉行之優勝者音樂會。音樂會演出費用全免，唯演出者需要自行安排機票住宿及交通費用。大會亦可協助相關安排，相關費用將另函通知。
9. 除優勝者音樂會演出外， 國際組別優勝者亦可獲大會贊助自費參與大會邀請的比賽評審或專業導師舉辦的大師班master class課程，爭取國際導師指導機會。有關大師班master class課程，及個別優勝者獲贊助豁免之費用容後公佈。
10. 本會保留所有比賽錄像之版權，並有權發佈該比賽錄像作為評審、或宣傳等用途。在比賽結果公佈前，所有參賽視頻片段均不可公開發佈，包括但不限於任何公開的社交平台。

Rules and regulations of International Category of competition:
1. The international category competition will also be conducted in online video basis. Each qualifying participant will be notified individually by email.
2. Qualifying participants must confirm their registration for the international category competition by the deadline specified in the notification email and upload their competition video to the specified email address by the deadline.
3. The competition video for the international category can be the same or different from the video used in the first round. Regardless of whether the piece is the same, participants must upload again their competition video for the 2nd round of international category.
4. The video format requirements for the international group competition are the same as those for the Hong Kong group competition. It is recommended to use 720p pixels to shoot. It also requires one shot to the end, no editing, no make sure the entire process of shooting of the candidates from standing, bowing, performing, and bowing after completion. For details, please refer to items no. 8-12 of the "Video Competition Registration Instructions".
5. Please attach proof of payment for the registration fee for the international category competition. Regardless of instrument, category, age, or level, the registration fee for the international category competition is US$80.
6. In uploading the competition video for the international category, please attach a copy of the sheet music of the performance piece in the email.
7. Only marking sheets and certificates will be awarded to all candidates in the international category competition. Only the Champion of each categories will be awarded with the Trophy. All other winners may order a personalized trophy where additional charges along with shipping fees will be applied.
8. Winners of first, second, and third place in each international categories of competition will be invited to attend the Winners' Live Concert in Houston, Texas, USA, in the summer of 2025. The concert performance fees are waived, but participants will need to arrange and cover their own expenses for flights, accommodation, and transportation. In case any winners requires assistant for the arrangements, related expenses will be notified and charged separately.
9. In addition to the Live Concert, winners are opt to attend the master classes organized and sponsored by the organization for the opportunity to receive guidance from international instructors. Details of the master classes and the degree of sponsorship for each winners will be announced later.
10. We reserve all rights to the competition recordings and has the right to publish them for judging or promotional purposes. Until the competition results are announced, all competition video clips must not be publicly shared, including but not limited to any public social media platforms.
11. All participants must accept and respect the judgements and results made by the adjudicators of the competition as final and conclusive.

The information provided by participants in the enrollment google form must be complete and accurate. Violators may be disqualified. If modifications on any submitted information is required after the deadline, participants must fill out the "Houston International Youth Music Competition 2004_Information Change Application Form" Google Form and pay an administrative fee of US$8 to apply for the change. Failure to complete the information change application form or pay the administrative fee may result in the refusal of alternations.
13. Except in case we cancel our competition, all registration fees paid are non-refundable, regardless of the reasons provided by participants.
